I
was born in Missouri, educated in California and Kansas and currently
have a studio in Belmont,California. My father was an amateur artist
and art was a constant part of my childhood. I have studied many
mediums: painting, jewelry, and ceramics. When I started creating
sculpture, I began with clay and went on into stone sculpture in
1973. I have studied with seven acclaimed stone sculptures over
an eleven year period. Feminine and masculine energy are reflected
in my work. My sculptures, whether figurative or abstract, incorporate
nature, Goddess beleifs, dreams, feminine issues, and humor in the
various spiritual and psychological journeys. I have authered a
book titled: "Being Creators of Sculpture", which is used
as a manual in many classes.
