"From the
beginning of time, stone has represented the solid form from which
came creativity. In the mythic and religious senses, stone represented
the dwelling place of God or the Soul. Stone is the symbol of being,
of cohesion, and of harmonious reconcilliation with self. It is
the foundation of creating sculpture. Carving sculpture is the process
of allowing the energies of the stone and the artist to dictate
the visual form that emerges from the stone."
